I ordered Passat Sedan 125kw TDi with the options mentioned in my signature there. The car will arrive in July.

Nice spec... I kinda wanted the bi-xenon lights and the wife woulda liked the elec seats but the extra cash to get em just was not gonna hapen....

With that set of options no wonder its gonna be 5 monts 'cause it's gotta be a factory order/build

The time will fly by... I had a similar wait when I ordered my XR6T sight unseen and no test drive... and I counted the days but once I got it....

I did a test drive 2 weeks ago and I found the power of this turbo diesel (125kw) is not as bad as what I first thought. VW claims 0-100 in 8.6 secs but I noticed the car goes pretty fast from stand still to 60-70km/h. I would have thought the car goes as fast as my MPS6 from 0-70km/h but after 60, my MPS will start pulling away for sure as it has got more power. I was amazed by the VW/Audi diesel engineering. Excellent fuel consumptions with this sort of accerleration. I guess my decision of buying this car is correct. 4 and 1/2 months to go....

the Mazda MPS 6 had a 0-100 of around 7sec IIRC... so it would definately feel a bit faster esp over the 60kmh mark.

I no longer want to be launched to warp speed in a millisecond, prefering instead to go business class with a sporty feel so the 125kw suits me just fine.

BTW I could not find the MPS6 on the mazda website... has it been dropped from the lineup?

To be exact, the MPS 6 runs from 0-100km in 6.4s.
The reason i bought the Passat because I wanted to lower the running costs of the car and my missus prefers luxury over performance. The Passat has it all. I will start selling my MPS6 when times get closer to delivery.

Yes, production of the 6 MPS has been ceased as the new 6 has just been released not long ago.

Just a quick one for you. I am just wondering whether you could open/close the sunroof with the key remote control. I know you can open/close the windows by holding down the button on your remote control but would it open/close the sunroof as well. Give it a try and let me know if you never done it. Many Thanks
