  • Cleaning the seats - What to use?

Any suggestions on the best products to clean my alltrack seats? They are the standard ones which are made of "coated" leather I believe.
    Thanks in advance.

I use AutoGlym leather cleaner then the AutoGlym Leather Balm..

Smells fresh, looks matte rather than glossy and makes leather look like new BUT needs "48+ hours" to cure after applying the balm

+ 1 for AutoGlym leather cleaner. If the seat is very dirty or has something sticky on it spray and let it soak for a minute before wiping clean. If it is very ingrained gently use a toothbrush or soft nail brush.

I prefer Gliptone as a leather conditioner. Harder to find but well worth the effort.

Lux pure soap flakes work a treat too, and cheap as chips from the super.

An upholsterer put me onto it, he said it was the only thing he used.

Mix HOT water and flakes and with soft brush or microfiber towel, clean leather, wipe off and dry. That's it. Works really well on steering wheels too.

Chamois and water with every car wash, I did find that the leather was quite dirty following a dog slobbering in the back, used my enjo car mitt and enjo wash (very mild detergent) and it was gone. The leather in my 08 Passat was better quality, this is the standard matt look leather.

Hands down the best product, removes the gloss and returns the original matte finish: http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/pr...leather_system

Is use it every 2-3 months, even works on the steering wheel, without making it slippery or sticky.
