Problems starting my Passat!!!

Hi All,

On the weekend my 98 1.8t Passat is having problems starting.....She sounds like it’s out of fuel. She starts, and then sputters a bit then stops, this happens about 3 or 4 times then she starts.

This only happens first thing in the morning, once started she will restart first pop every time for the rest of the day. It's like the auto choke or something isn't working????

Please help!....

Coolant temp sensor champ try that 1st, its at the back of your cylinder head. If it has a black 1 change it to a green one. Black was the original ones mate so a good chance its old and tired.
