I've just had our 2009 Passat serviced by our local VW dealer and the front passenger door is making a funny clicking noise when opening and shutting it. It's coming from the latch, not sure what's causing it. Waiting on a call back from the dealer, but would prefer to try and fix it myself as it's a PITA to take it up there again. This is the second time this has happened. The last time, I had it serviced, I also had some work done on it the day before by a panel beater, VW blamed it on the panel beater. So I took it back there told them to fix it, which they did, not sure what they did to it. But they insisted it was nothing to do with them. Well it's obvious now it's something VW are doing...

Door making clicking noise after service

Yeah mate see this all the time it's probably the 13mm door hinge nuts coming loose (common, should be checked/tightened every service) just get a 13mm combo wrench and take to all your door nuts an tighten them, you will most likely find your passengers side nuts will be loose... Always a good idea to lubricate them too while you're there. Goodluck mate!
