Boot wont open

More help needed here.
My boot will not open with the in car lever or the remote key fob.
Today I open and closed normally at shops.
When arrived at home cannot open.
It only opens manually from the inside.
Is there a fuse for the boot opening?
Or is it something more?
I have 2006 Passat 3.2 AWD B6 V6 3C

Is there anyone in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast who can check my VW for problems with fuel gauge and boot lid opening/closing issue?
I can travel anywhere.
