Agree ...
Yep, saw that in last Saturday's Age.
I'm currently writing a little summary of the first couple of weeks of driving bliss (mostly) and I have to say that I pretty much agree with the article.
What I don't agree with is the 3.5 stars as compared to the 4 stars they gave to the 103 kW model based on price rise with only incremental improvements. Anyway, give me a few more days for my little report.

Understand i think they felt that the 103kw was better value for money previously when it was cheaper than the 2.0 TFSI by $2000. What they fail to mention now is that the 103kw has been de-specced now compared to previous ie 16 inch alloys instead of 17's. So argument is what value the 17 inch wheels and 125kw / 350nm represents for $2500 over the 103kw version, guess you could say it is like the sports version of the diesel?B6 Passat Wagon No KESSY

That's how I understand it as well but I don't agree with it.
I would argue that the price increase is relatively small compared to the inherent value of the car as such (plenty of features!!), and you get sterling performance and pretty much the same fuel economy (see my report in a few days).
