Hi all. Going on holidays soon. (5weeks) vw won't be driven in that period, is it advised to disconnect or leave battery connected? Thanks all and look forward to replies

In theory it should be OK...BUT 5 weeks is a long time and the last thing you want after your hol's is a dead car to deal with!..Even with the battery in good condition and no excessive current draw all you have is a very very low draw to work the immob/alarm etc...I've left my Jetta TDI for 3 weeks and started like every other day but for the sake of 2 mins it might just be worth disconnecting it to put your mind at rest....personal preference really....VDUB....

If you're cars in the garage just get yourself a good trickle charger like a C-Tek for about $80 and you could leave it plugged in for as long as you like
