HELP!!! Flashing Engine Light

Hey guys can anyone help me, I was driving my car the other day sitting on 110 cruise control on started to go up a hill and my engine light started to flash so I turnt crusie control off and actually accelelrated up the hill and it stopped flashing. Anyone know what could be I was thinking not enough pressure? I think i do have a slight hole in my exhaust so might be exhaust leak need help anyone. Cheers

best to get someone to read the codes if any with VCDS....

Misfire detected
Intake manifold flap position sensor. This is what the read out was

You need the fault code to go further. Google exactly what the scanner said. VCDS being better than a generic one for the information it gives you. There is a basic settings for that flap motor. Not a guaranteed fix though.

Since i have gone got this done and they cleared the errors hasnt come back but mind u after they did this my battery died so $224 to install a new one wasnt happy.

I been looking the net there was a recall on this in the states and covered by warranty

Just hope that it is recalled here and covered under warranty. VW and many other car manufacturers ignore a lot of TSB and recalls in Australia

thezoner32 had this error on his GTI and I carried out basic settings and it has stayed away.
