My new Passat stuck on Qld docks.......grrrr

Been eagerly awaiting our new Passat tdi. Sadly though it is still stuck on docks in Qld awaiting it's compliance plate (arrived 13th Feb).

Fortunately as we just sold our old car privately the dealer has loaned us a new Golf 90tsi (800km on the clock) to use as our second car whilst they try and get our Passat down to NSW.

Anyone in the business able to suggest what the delay could be? our dealer had been expecting to deliver by today when we purchased but now seem unsure when we will be taking delivery. Our dealer is hoping to deliver by next Friday (8th March) but I didn't get the feeling he seemed to confident of that happening either.

Our new 125 TDi Sedan was on the same boat that arrived in Brisbane mid last month. We took delivery last Wednesday so it may be worth giving your dealer some hurry-up. We too are on the south coast although the car was sourced through Sutherland Volkswagen.

Very happy with the car so far although we've only done the one trip in it.

Thanks PHA for that update, much appreciated. Will have apply some more pressure on them in regards to what the hold up is. We were originally told we would take delivery on either the Wednesday or Thursday last week.

I am hoping now that I have one of their demo cars that it may entice them to speed it up, as I am sure they will want it back.

We nearly went to Sutherland VW, starting to think if I had maybe I would have my car now as well. Oh well I am sure the wait will be worth it.

Oh well I cannot complain, the dealership have been outstanding in all other aspects of the process. Considering we were originally trading in our old car until a friends car was written off in a recent accident. They asked to buy ours, so we sold it to them on the expected date of our cars arrival, and the dealer has still loaned us the golf to use in the meantime as we require 2 cars due to my varying work hours and having a young baby.

Hopefully hear some good news tomorrow in regards to what is happening.

Hi - it seems I am in a similar situation - but my new Golf R arrived (according to shipping tracking site) in Bris on 24th December.
So - your's landed on 13th Feb - any news? any explanation as to the delay?

Was told by the dealer last thursday when i picked up the loaner that it was awaiting its compliance plate to be fitted according to their tracking. He even showed me his screen, but as to whether thats what it meant I wouldn't know for sure.

We spoke to the dealer today and they told us that it is now awaiting transport to Ingleburn where there is a holding yard. They were going to call us back today with an update but failed to do so, so we are no more aware if anything has changed this afternoon.

Will be following up with them again tomorrow as I am getting impatient as I would rather my car than their loaner. Until then their loaner will be getting a considerable increase in kilometres. Hopefully having the loaner is making them push a little harder to get our car, but honestly I don't think it really bothers them either way.

I hope you get your Golf R soon as I would have possibly cancelled my order if I was made to wait that long since my vehicle arrived into the country.

PHA car was on same ship as mine apparently and he had it delivered last week so it makes you question how these holding yard/dealers arrange for the vehicles to be allocated and shipped??

Been in contact with dealer today and the vehicle was despatched yesterday. SO should be at dealers tomorrow or Monday at the latest. So they are aiming for a Thursday delivery.

Anyone know if there is a way to track a patrick autocare delivery by its Load Number?

Dealer sent me a screenshot showing it being despatched yesterday for Autocare Ingleburn, so hopefully no more delays when it arrives there.
