R36 needle sweep

Hi all do you know if this feature is available? My ride is 2008 avant with the red screen not the later model white. If it is available does it require vag com coding?

I have the same year model, does not have the option in VCDC. I believe it is only available on later models

When you start the car up the needles sweep up from the bottom left all the way to the right hand side (also called needle dance).
Pointless feature but it gets a laugh.

I thought it was only available on white MFD cars.

Pointless feature but entertaining for many I would think. Easily amused are us males!

The feature is called staging and only available on certain clusters, not limited to whitedot or reddot mfd either as it is available on my premium colour mfd.

connect vcds and try to enable it.

If only I had the rosstech cable rather than the cheapy Ebay one then I might actually be able to do something other than scan for fault codes!

get the rosstech one.. very handy for more than just fault codes.

Just tried on mine and it's a no go...

In VCDS go to Control Modules > Instruments > Adaptation > Staging

Mine said 'Channel not available'
