Hi im new to the water cooled side. I mainly dabble in air-cooled, So please forgive me. Im thinking of buying a B6 Wagon any where from 06 up iv'e seen some on car sales.com and im happy with the prices and the cars. Im after A TDI mode,l but have read a lot of bad news about them. Ie they spend more time off the road than on, mainly injector problems and a few other issues. Please can any of you help me in making the right choice. I love VW's and love the shape of the car but if it's going to be a lemon ill have to give it a miss.

Welcome to the forums Telf.
You have to realise that these forums will be full of people who have issues with their car but in reality, it might be only 0.5% or less of the toal sales in the country.

Your best bet it to read up on the issues that people have had, weigh up if you think they are too big of an issue or not and then go for a test drive.

There could be some issues that are fairly easily solved (i.e. the siemens injector issue apparently can be solved by changing to a different injector??)

VW replaced my injectors free of charge well out of warranty And even though my Passat had spent its fair share of time in the dealership, I still can't find anything good enough to replace it at a reasonable price

Thanks for the heads up. Is there any thing else to look out for? The one im looking at is an 06 with 160Ks on it and its up for 14K.
