DSG VS Triptonic gearbox 08 Passat

Ok just have had a phone call from VW Mile End in regards to my 60,000 service ok anyone that owns a 08 passat TSI can you please tell me or if anyone else knows, he was saying that my car has a triptonick (sorry on speeling) gearbox not a DSG can someone clarify please, as my service went from $1,300 DSG to $970 without confused.

The DSG has an oil and filter change at 60k, if you have a standard auto, you don't need it.

There is no where in manual that states if DSG or Tiptronic,

If you google passat and get the wiki, you can do all your own research on the gearbox code easy done

Ok i tried finding but no luck all good spoke to Andrew German Auto who chipped my car

Is that the 147kw 2litre TSI? I think all of those had a regular auto box (not the DSG).

My tsi has the dry clutch 7sp DSG but I have the 1.8litre motor (118kw).

yeah i got the 147 well more now due to APR chip yeah found out it is tiptronic
