  • RVC retrofit RCD510 installer in Sydney

I would like to get a RVC on my sedan that has an RCD510 with park assist 2.
Anyone know a good installer in Sydney?
    Thanks

It won't be too hard to do yourself but beware that there is a high and low version. high version has dynamic lines depending on steering angle whereas the low version just has static lines.

high version can be installed and work however final calibration has never been successfully performed outside of vw. it will always say that it is not calibrated howeverw will work.

I suggest staying away from the kufatec aftermarket kits, they seem to be unreliable.

part numbers for high version wagon variant

    High Controller 3AA907441 or 5N0909537A
    camera handle 5N0827566AB (wagon)
    holder 3c0 971 502 b

you should buy loom off kufatec. only 4 wires, can high/can low, positive need to be manualy connected then a cable from rcd av to controller and cable from controller to camera handle.

I am keen to hear about yourefforts as well. Just got as new B7 only to find the RNS and Park Assist option does not include the RVC as standard now. pain in the arssssse.

Are you going to go ahead with the self installation

        Hi
I've decided not to go ahead with it because I don't
        Want my car pulled apart.
I'll just wait for my next upgrade and I'll ensure I have this
        Included plus sat nav.
