I have been flashed 2-3 times but I think it is more to do with how bright the combination of HID/Daytime Driving Lights are as opposed to the light being too high. There is a clear distinction between where the HID's light up & where they don't & mine never light up the oncoming drivers face.
Has any of you owners of Bi-xenon gets flashed during the day even when its not totally dark yet and the HID auto turns on??
I've had 2 cars high beam me already!!! I dunno if they high beam to say nice car /lights hehehe But on the serious note why ??

Hi fellas,
Can the auto-headlight sensitivity be adjusted?
Mine goes on mid afternoon regarding if it's
dark or sunny.
Is the auto headlight on timer as well?
I've noticed it goes on around 3pm regardless if it's sunny or not.
I'm puzzled
As far as I know there is an ambient light sensor located on the winscreen in the cluster with the rain sensor. If that area is dirty it may trigger the lights to come on early. They are definitely not on a timer.
Mine work pretty well, albeit probably about 30-60 mins before I would ahve turned them on due to having LEDs.

MJW's idea could hold some merit but I expect you would have a very sensitive sensor. Short of having a new sensor module installed or keeping the windscreen clean there will be nothing you can do at a guess....
My HID's act normally most of the time, normally being I rarely question if the HID's have come on too early or to late & visa versa turned off to early or late depending on prevailing light conditions.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but if you are going to retrofit the HID BiXenon lights, you also need to link up the auto levelling system so that the lights get the correct level when carrying a load.
I know others have pointed out the fact that you need the washer system as well hooked up.
I have gone from an R36 with the BiXenons to the new V6 Highline with Sports Pack, and I must say that I do not miss the BiXenons at all as the standard Halogen lights seem great nowadays.
My windscreen is always kept clean.
I think I know why now I get flashed during
the day-time. When both HiD and Led are on
During day time it can be mistaken as high beam.
This is why I questioned why it goes on during the day
even when it's sunny or stays on after being triggered
by little darkness.
Sounds to me like your sensor is overly sensative. When I drive under a bridge or through a tunnel, the headlights come on but would normal switch off within 30 seconds or so.

Just out of curiosity, what other cars have you drive with factory HIDs? I'm finding that the HIDs in my R36 are quite average - the HIDs in my previous Accord Euro were MUCH better.

The R36 is the only one that I have driven with HID's. The standard halogens are very good, though.
I have found varying grades for HIDs. I have had a Mini, Mazda & now Passat with HIDs factory fitment. The Mazda was not much chop. The Mini was great but the Passat with dynamic corning is by far the best.

Guys with Bixenon in their B7 passat!
Do you know if the Reverse light is also LED?
Because we have LED tail lights are all the lights
in the cluster all LED.
I wanted to replace the reverse light to led bulb because
It's so pathetic, but couldn't fine any bulb holders at all when I opened the trunk
To access to the bulb.
Anyone know?
I've worked it out..thanks to the trusty manual.
The
Oem lightbulb is a halogen W16W which is same as T10.
I installed a error free LED but it wasn't bright enough.
So now I think I will get T10 Cree type led with canbus.

Let us know how it goes (and which lamp you end up using) - while the std reverse lights look great, I agree with you that they are pretty poor in lighting up behind the car.
