  • B7 Passat sedan boot

    Hi guys
It takes everyone that closes the boot twice to shut. Is there a way on adjusting it so it closes in one go?
    Pls help. Thanks

Mine easily closes on the first attempt. Might be an alignment issue with the latch. I have a different problem where the boot lid is starting to open slowly, sometimes not even coming up at all depending on the angle the car is parked. Is the boot lid held up by shocks?

Thanks. Yes mine has a shock which went open it goes all the way up regardless of angle. I might check out the latch

Doesn't the boot lid of the B7 sedans use arms (possibly spring operated) & not shock absorbing type arms that are used in the wagons..?

You might be right Riker I can't see any shocks just the arm which probably has springs in them. I might take back the car to the dealership to get it checked out. Thanks

I've had the boot lining out before and I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a spring loaded mechanism of sorts, if that helps.
