Dislodged Engine Start key flap

    Dislodged Engine Start key flap

    I was cleaning the dash (Passat B6) and managed to dislodge the plastic key flap (engine start). I have the flap and thankfully I also have the small spring, but no idea how I can put it back in without the spring disappearing.

    Has anyone else had this issue?

    No never had this problem...
    Can you still start the car?

      Yes, the car starts fine - there's just an open hole in the dash now. I don't want to screw anything up so I will take it in to a VW servicer and see if they can pop the cover back in.
