Car wont start - low battery voltage

Hi folks,

Just wanted to check that 11.9v resting voltage is low, right? Car turns over just once but then starts clicking, dash flickers etc

During cranking/clicking the voltage drops as low as 6.

This is an 2008 125TDi.

Thanks mate. A new one has just gone in.

Sounds like 12.6 resting is about right and 10-11 on cranking.
