Possible to upgrade a Series 1 R36 Passat to the MY10 Climatronic panel?

Hi guys,

After doing some basic research, I wanted to know if anyone has succesfully upgraded there MY08/09 climate control to the late MY09/10 Climatronic panel?

Obviously the RNS510 is already equipped to display the climate settings on screen, and since the two actual climatronic panels use the same mounting holes behind the bezel, it seems that the actual bezel/fascia is the only difference?

Wonder if it would just work withe a panel swap or if it would require an activation via Vagcom?

yes it does there's a guy thats done it on his 2006 Passat on vwvortex.com
