  • Help - Passat B5 1.8T

On my way to work this morning all was well..then suddenly my 'ssat started to chug, no sudden smoke or noise.
I pulled over lifted the bonnet to check for a hose off etc, but nothing evident.
Not being far from work I decided to carry on, I took off slowly with the 'chug chug'. Obviously the quicker I got the chugging sped up to.
I'm no mechanic by any mean, but from past experience it is a lot like losing a cylinder.
My car is it work and I'd like to get home, I'll check plugs but other than that I have no idea.
    Any help would be great..

Dead ignition coil would be the most likely cause. It's quite common.
