RNS510 - anytrhing out there that can increase the 2GB SD card limit?

Guys,

I've got a Dec 2008 build (MY09) R36 Wagon with RNS510 installed. Sat NAv and RVC only in it.

Since purchased 2nd hand I can vouch that no firm ware has been done (aside from 'perhaps' being done at dealer on the yearly service but woudl not know this from the documents given to me by prior owner).

Is there a firmware upgrade that now increases the SD card limit from 2 gb to 'n'GB or is this not available.

PLuss.......

Any other things I should do in order to get a firm ware upgrade (and 'sigh' for those who've read this question time and time and time again) do I did a VAGCOM VCDS connection or can I get by witout and just sponge off someone nearby - I'm in Cremorne just down from the Belgium Beer bar Epoque (which means I'll shout a beer or two....).

Yes! You can increase the SD from 2 to 8 by install the newer firmware. You can download online and burn on to a disc. Then put the disc into the Rns510 it will install it automatically. Good luck

I have a very early R36 (one of the first in Australia!) and my RNS510 has happily accepted 32gb SD cards after a firmware upgrade.

I can't remember where I got the firmware from, though. I do remember it being an easy process...
