The deletion of the Rear View Camera from the CC (and from the Touareg as well!) is surely a backward step?!!! As for Silver Leaf being discontinued, that was the hero colour on the previous brochure for the CC (and the colour I picked, it looks great I might add....) I'm glad I have both of these options on my car! Why are VW doing this?

Deleting Silver Leaf will increase the value of our Silver Leaf CC's.

Kind of glad I got a MY11 then, as the RVC was something my wife specifically wanted.

        Thanks for the information, Maverick.

No RVC?! Is there a dealer fitted option now?

Any reason given why no longer available? Crazy coconuts

It's a supply problem due to the tsunami in Japan. It was reported on NY times. Just google it and you'll find it. It's not VW's fault, they are looking into an alternative source for parts.

                Thanks VAG!

I found it here: Shortage Forces VW to Cancel Back-Up Cameras - NYTimes.com

Do they ever do mid-year changes? I.e., any chance of them offering it again soon?

                Thanks!

They do a mid year refresh but as to when the cameras are offered again who knows.

It's the worst time to get a new car now. All Jap cars have 3 months wait at least, unless you are happy with the 2010 plated stock and are willing to pay full RRP for it, or Thai Maxima is the only thing left. This is from my friend, whose lease just due and needs immediate delivery, he almost settle with those two, luckily I stopped him on time and he now got a Passat as well.

With the resupply of RVC, it really depends on when Japan resumes production, or if they source the camera somewhere else (we might end up with Made in China RVC rather than Made in Japan)

It also depends on if the aftershock will hit in the next month or so. Christchurch just had theirs yesterday after 4 months, I'd say Japan is not out of danger yet.

Nobody can say when the supply will resume, hence when VW will offer RVC again

We'll always have the badge and the blue needles.

Besides, what are the 'sport seats' in the sport package? Are they like the B6 highline seats, or are they R-seats?

I wonder if the LED number plate lights are a direct swap with the B6?

I like my gadgets in cars, a bit dissapointed that the euro spec has an upgrade to a colour multifunction display is not offered, would've made a difference to at least feeling like the interior was 'upgraded/new'.
