Searching for a LS Passat is not easy. Its bloody hard.
After months of searching and time wasting idiots saying they will be willing to sell but stuffing me around I finally came across the car I had been looking for.
It was a lovely 1976 LS Passat sedan, a very lucky find. Rust free and straight I worked a deal with the car yard salesman and the Sky blue Passat was mine for $1400.
The salesman told me that he would have to organise the pink slip at a machanics around the corner from the dealership, though once completed he would park my Passat in front of the caryard with the keys under the front tyre for me to pick up later that night.
Happy as Larry I went back to work and called Matt from Camden GTI and organised to have a 1.8 Golf GTI motor and new clutch installed.
Then at 4:30pm I recieved a call from the caryard.......Unfortunatly as the salesman was driving the car out of the machanics with the pink slip in the passenger seat, a 4X4 plows into my Passat completely destroying it. The dealership refunded my money and now I return back to SQUARE 1.
Maybe its an OMEN, guess im not meant to own the car ive always wanted. Well its back to months of searching.......
P.S The salesman survived
