  • R36 RNS 510 Sat Nav Problems

Hi this is my first post as have just found this great site, I am wondering if anyone can help with advice on the following, I am on the Gold Coast and if enter Perth WA into Sat Nav as a destination it displays no route recommendations, it also happens with some other destinations, I just want confirmation that it should display a route even for that distance before I go to the dealer.

Also is there a way to tell from the sat nav unit as to what firmware or map version you have installed?

Also what is the latest map version available?

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

As far as I know it can only be updated via DVD, I'm sure if Maverick reads this he'll be able to confirm or correct on this =)

        Sorry to hijack the thread.

I also just switched to RNS510 in MY10 Passat and although the steering wheel volume buttons are working the track up/down button are not. I have checked the coding and enable BAP and now have the navigation available on MFD but buttons not working.

        Anyone got any ideas???

        Thanks
