  • Where is the intake for recirculating air in the cabin?

Can't seem to find it under the passenger side/glovebox.

    Cheers

B5's are under the front seats. Maybe have a check on yours?

I happen to have been searching for this exact item yesterday! Found it but was for a MkV which is similar I guess.
I noticed the bottom of my glove box looked the same but didn't know I had to remove the 2 nuts to access it. I've got A/C smell from the vents after turning the A/C on. Thinking of cleaning/replacing it.

I just sprayed Glen20 over the outside intake+interior and recirculate the A/C a while. Will try today on how it went.

          Thanks revivor!

I went to the second step but didn't remove the plastic bit.

I need to clean the AC as the previous own had a dog and every time I turn the AC on, the smell returned

I've used a can of the AC sanitizer from AG and it's better but still a tiny bit of dog remaining.

          Cheers!

            That's a great link.

Just checked the filter on my car and it has lots of leaves and junk so I will replace it.

I found that the smell when the a/c is turned on has dissappeared after giving it some Glen20. Haven't got the time to remove the filter yet - weekend is still 4 days away!

                    Hi John,

Could you point me to the website you bought it from? Thanks.

With a/c turned on, it really stinks now that I rarely use it during winter.

                      I got this one

Audi VW Charcoal Carbon Cabin Air Pollen Filter | eBay

It's not genuine but same same Email the guy for postage, he quoted me $19 USD

I found that the filter itself, while worth changing as the old one is dirty, didn't help with the smell.

It was the sanitiser that made a difference
