auto locking of passat doors

On my 07 Passat, the doors lock within a few seconds of moving in the car. Does anyone know if this can be disabled so they don't lock?

yes this is normal and can be taken off its called auto lock this locks the doors at 15km and above for safey reasons.Next time you take your car into vw you can get the to turn this off for you.

You can change the setting yourself. I can't recall which option but if you go into the settings menu using the buttons on the steering wheel you can turn it off.

Had a look in the car this morning.

Go to Settings
- then Convenience
- then Door Open
- then Auto Close - if it's already selected, then select it again to turn it off

You can also set the doors to Auto Open when the car stops under the Door Open menu.
