  • Looking for a good VW specialised accident repair in Melbourne

Got rear-ended tonight (the car obviously) and got some minor damage to the rear bumper. The bumper skin needs replacement and respray. Prefer to take the car to people that actually work on VW's all the time. Any recommendations will be much appreciated!
    Cheers
R36 Wagon, blue, sunroof, towbar, auto tailgate, MDI, and now with upgraded sound system

Which area are you looking at?

Charlie Battisti in Nunawading is the best around. He does porsche's, lambos and VWs as well.

Another friend recommended him as well, went there Tuesday and waiting on the quote to come through.
      Thanx for the advice!

No worries! Interested in knowing how you go with the repairs, do keep me updated if possible. I have this little scuff mark on the left side of my bumper. Am thinking of going to Charlie as well.

I will let you know, haven't even received his quote yet.
I also have some other minor marks but too expensive if painting is involved (metallic).
I have a minor mark in the clear coat on my door from bird poo, and will be an additional $1,000-1,500 as they need to spray it out into the front panel, so I'm just going to stick with the repair that the insurance is paying for. Can get it done elsewhere and likely included, but want it done properly so not prepared to compromise trying to get a freebie.

Hmmm....i believe you can use some cutting polish to remove that bird poo mark? As long as you can't see metal, why not give it a go instead of going for the re-spray option?

It has actually eaten into the clear coat, not into the actual paint by the look of it. I did get a friend who has a detailing business to look at it when it happened and they couldn't get it polished out. I might have a crack at it myself, thanx for the tip.
I'm not going to respray now, as Murphy's law will likely mean somebody will drive into it after I spent the money and could had it all paid for...

Hi, I would assume that you would have got the damage repaired (probably at Charlie's). Could you please let me know about their work? I have scratched the right rear door :face palm: out of sheer stupidity and would like to get it fixed. It is a deep scratch with a small dent accompanying it. Your inputs would be much appreciated!

Actually I ended up going elsewhere as they couldn't provide a loan car.
Got it repaired at C&E Motor Body Works in Moorrabin, great guys and quality work! They repaired my Audi there twice and also fantastic work and great service (incl. free loan car). Highly recommend them, see Craig if you are interested. Their phone number is 9555 3648 and pricing is very reasonable.
                  Good luck!

Thanks a lot mate! I would definitely ring them or probably drop in to get a quote. Cheers!
