  • 2002 Passat 1.8T Ignition control module?

    Hi

Does anyone know where this module is physically in the car; and IF this car has one? It is for my brother in law's car; I scanned it with my Vag-com ( I have an Audi with similar motor) and it comes up with these faults:

17536 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean
    P1128 - 35-00 - -
    16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
    P0300 - 35-00 - -
    16687 - Cylinder 3: Misfire Detected
    P0303 - 35-00 - -
    16688 - Cylinder 4: Misfire Detected
    P0304 - 35-00 - -
    16685 - Cylinder 1: Misfire Detected
    P0301 - 35-00 - -

Also runs rough at times. I swapped the coil packs around and the fault does not follow the coil pack. New plugs. So must be something further up the chain, like ICM?

    Thanks

The ICM should be in the side of the airbox. I think there's a 4 pin plug on one side and a 5 pin on the other.
