R36 uncooperative this morning...

Ok, so my car and I have had the perfect relationship. Never missed a beat and as tight as a drum...

Of the 10+ cars I have had so far, I enjoy it the most..

Two days ago, all well- and yesterday, it had a day off in the garage....This morning: dead as a doornail and VW assist started it this afternoon. Took it for a run in the hope of adding some charge to the battery and am hoping it will start tomorrow..

The weird thing is nothing was different to normal, nothing left on...nothing...

Anyone experienced random dead battery in a 12 month old car?

Yeah, Had a WRX battery die at 7 months.
Drove to the shops all fine. Came out 10 minutes later and dead as a doornail. It happens.
Subaru had RAC come to my house and install a new one.
My Audi one died at 2 years. Same thing Audi assist came and replaced for a new battery

Following up on this, VW assist started it in the afternoon and I took it for a drive. All has been well since...

Will take it out to the dealer to see if it's thrown any error codes...

On a +ve note, I bought a brother for it yesterday: Golf 118TSI manual + sports pack & ACC. Taking bets on how long before Dean at Volkspower get hit mitts on it for an APR reflash...
