I had a problem with my lights this morning ('07 Passat). I removed my key and a bell started chiming (as if the lights had been left on and weren't in automatic). Then when I exited the car the fog lights stayed on (i.e. right hand side rear and front lights which you can use when parked in foggy places). I couldn't get them to turn off - the light switch was in the automatic position, though I tried changing it to all positions. I was concerned as I only drive every days and thought my battery would go flat. I drove the car later and the problem "went away". Any ideas ?

Blinker was in RH turn position.
It's in the manual
Put it in LH turn position & the LH will light up. The noise is to tell you that you have done it - close the door & the noise stops
And they aren't fog lights, they are called parking lights.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic
I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
