Finally joining the clan of sleepers! Got the MY09 ice grey sedan w/ Dynaudio + satnav. 8-)

Few question though,
1. How do I know if the dynamic headlights are working? When switching on the xenons does it do a self check (dance!) Anyone have the courtesy to describe when it's supposed to work when driving?
2. MDI - does it come with the USB connectors in the glovebox to connect an ext. hard drive?
3. When driving off from standstill, do you have a slight lag (w/ minimal pedal pressure)?
4. Should I check if they've got the latest firmware/software for the RNS510? I read somewhere that a DVD should be provided? What is it for?
5. Would the system play DVD-R disks or even DVD on the hard drive? eg. copy of a DVD movie?

Welcome and congrats! How much did you pay?

I have a Passat 3.6L CC but very similar to your R36. Based on my car and using the enumeration of your qns:

1. My lights do the dance. I notice cornering of lights most on sharp hairpin turns.
2. I think so, though I used SD cards to load music on my RNS510
3. No
4. Good idea. I never got disc
5. Cannot rip movies to hard drive though does play DVDs.

BTW how good is that dynaudio?!

You can check the cornering lights in the garage at night. If you turn the wheel you'll see the side beam light up the direction the wheels are pointing. And yes they dance around (self-adjust) after you turn on the ignition.

The static cornering light works but was trying to get the dynamic lights to turn..So to see it dance, i need to turn on the lights then start the ignition?

It was a demo at 66k at 3000km. The missus and I liked the car & colour very much.

Good price. I too have an icelandic grey sedan. It's my preferred colour and doesn't show the dirt! I'm disappointed I didn't get the dynoaudio!

Yes, there is a lag at half press at low rpm. After I swapped the air filter, it has improved somewhat.

I actually wanted white like my current car...but seeing so many icelandic grey out there, is so nice under the sun/shade plus the shine
Now I can't wait to trade my car in and collect my new drive ...

I saw one that colour in the city last week.
It was filthy and looked disgusting so it proves there is a time when all cars should be washed.
