New Passat Owner Questions (Melbourne)

Hello Everyone !

I'm Ash and just bought a 2007 Passat TDi.

I have to say that so far i'm impressed with the car.

I still have to get used to the diesel engine and auto gearbox. I've always had manual gearboxes and petrol engines.

I have a couple of questions and I'm still reading the owner's manual at the moment.

Does the Passat have an Aux input for Ipod and play MP3?

Do all the 3C Passats come with passenger and driver foot well lights? Mine does not have it or the lights might not be working.

Im no expert but thought the aux input for the stereo is in the centre console. Mine is anyhow.....

Mine is not.

I've got the Sat Nav option. Its not in the glove box either.

I am not really sure about this, but I suspect there will be no aux input, I think it was added for the MY08 model year, that is when the head units started to play MP3 files.

What about footwell lights?

our 2009 has the aux in center console and we do have sat nave. maybe 2007 doesnt have it? similar issue with the footwell maybe.

No footwell lights for the Passat.

My mum's 2007 Passat didn't have aux-in... pretty sure it had footwell lighting though, it might be turned off in the MFD.
From memory it's under the "Lights & Vision" menu, you can turn them on/off and adjust how bright they are.
