Performance Chip for Passat Diesel

looking at getting a chip for my passat diesel, just wondering doesn't anyone know of any issues this may cause to your warranty?
don't wanna do it and then find out that my warrabty's voided

Technically it probably is a warranty issue. I inderstand that the module modifies the ECU on the fly and does not exceed the VW maximum engine performance. VW set the ECU out of the factory at a lower than 100 %. If you are flogging the car then you will probably blow something even if you do not have a chip. Some modules can not be seen by the dealer computers so unles they spot it in the engine bay they do not know.

You are TDI yes? Speak to Cogdoc, he's the master as far as later TDI tuning goes.

yeh i am a TDI, just kinda wanted a simple answer, and it would appear that its no good.
if you just remove the chip before going in etc does it leave any electronic trace?

It's all electronic Joel. I think their is a dieselgeek chip? There may be an APR diesel tune also?
