  • VAG-COM question re steering wheel controller

Hi all, I am trying to use VAG-COM to access my MY10.5 Passat V6 Highline wagon. all controllers seem accessible except the steering wheel one, when I go to access it is says no response from controller??? my caddy does not have a problem when I do this.

Question is, is there something I am doing wrong? I have tried it with the ignition on and off.....

    Thanks in advance

    Matthew

Hmmm... I access my Passat via the doors. Mostly the driver's one.

I just like trying to bring humour to humourless situations... I think sometimes the problem is I get taken too seriously.

Does anyone have a useful response to my question?? I have purchased a steering wheel from a Scirocco and fitted it, all of the multifunction buttons work, but not the paddles, the Steering wheel function in VAG-COM still says "no response from controller"

          ??

          Thanks

If its a genuine VAG-COM why not go right to the SOURCE. They may be able to help you.

I apologise to the rest of the forum for the lack of humour in this response but unlike some others, I fail to see how your simple request for assistance is taking the problem too seriously.
You know you are getting old when you cancel your order for a 3.6 CC and buy an Icelandic Gray TDI CC instead.

Hi, thanks Highlander, problem all fixed now, I did check when I first posted this thread that I had the most current version of VCDS, and at the time it was, but since then they have released a new version 10.6, that has fixed the problem.
