What car did you own immediately before your VW Passat?

Wife's brand new (hail modified) car - Golf Confortline 118 TSi

Previous car: Honda Integra Type S. Bewdiful!

Reason for selling: End of lease, and change of employer.

Okay, I haven't made the change yet, but am almost there.

Previous car: Mazda 6MPS

Current car: VW Passat R36 Wagon (soon)

Reason for change: The Mazda is coming up to 4 years old and as it is used for work, I need a new one. However Mazda no longer produce an AWD high performance model, and their only Hi-Po models do not have enough space to fit family/clients etc. The current Liberty is just too horrible to mention here. So the R36 wagon fitted my requirements list perfectly, just need to get off my behind and order one Also my wife drives a Jetta 147TSI and so the VW quality and feel won me over.

As an aside, Leagle there is no Mazda MPS in your selection, can you edit the poll to add this, as I know of a few ex MPS drivers here who have made the switch to VW, and Swallowtail had an MPS6 too!

Change for me, didn't go with the Passat R36, ordered a Rising Blue Golf R today, still an AWD VW with loads of grunt, just in a smaller lighter body

Current wifes car: passat 2008 tdi wagon
her previous: bmw 528i wagon 2000

finally worked out that you just can't beat the high costs of owning bmw: either savage depreciation or high maintenance costs and hassles for old ones . so made the switch to a more economical option. while the bmw was a good car, the wife actually much prefers the passat ( loves her heated seats, sat nav, blutooth, electric seats, long range. i love having a spin in it too. compared to the bm it is excellent value, but not really in the same league. ( current bm wagon is 120k+).

Isn't that great, better car, half the cost, and a bonus happy wife

I owned an Audi 2008 S3 with complete stage 2 engine upgrade as well as Bilstein PSS 10 suspension and MTM Titanium 19 in rims. I really enjoy the sound of my R36

FG F6 for about 3mths, wife complaint about boot size (came off BA F6) so had to go : )

Previous car: MY04 Polo Match
Current car: MY10 Golf 118TSI

Reason for change: I've always wanted to have Golf but I couldn't afford to buy Golf back then so bought Polo instead. Back then (2004), I only worked part-time and still studying. Now, I have a full-time job and my Polo was getting old (gracefully), it was a natural next step for me to buy my new Golf!
