  • Clicking noise

    ive got a 2003 passat makes a clicking noise inside , it usually does it more after i have indicated left , but does it randomly sometimes sounds continious aswell like indicating , what could it be

      its coming from the left somewhere near the indicator just on and off noises , sometimes it will do it a few times in a row a few continious clicks and stop for abit then again , its annoying the noise is similar to the indicating noise just quicker

          Humour aside.... a mate has the same problem and the dealers replaced the control unit $135 but didn't fix it. There is another module (can't remember what its called) but that costs about $240.

          Is there a reliable fix or is it a quirky thing that volkswagonists learn to appreciate

            Could be the hazard switch. This also incorporates the relay that makes the clicking noise.

            Or, the stalk itself is showing signs of wear. Wiggle the stalk up and down gently and see if it makes the noise.
