  • Central Locking

I have one door that wont un/lock with the central locking.

It means having to make sure I physically lean over and lock it or unlock if someone wants to get in.

All others work fine, has anybody come across this.. or can someone point me in the right direction as to what I should look for.

    Is it an easy fix???

    Thanks

One for VAG-COM I reckon. Should be able to see the motor or not and go from there. Is it a door you open and close often? Could be a broken wire or plug disconnected. Although the motors have been known to quit.

      Its the passenger door.

Is there anywhere I can find an exploded view of the door etc?

My sister has had both her front door central locking actuators replaced on her MkV Golf (under warranty). Apparently it's a common problem on VWs and is made worse if you set the doors to lock/unlock automatically when driving.

Sign up to Vagcat and look there.
