  • DSG Sport Mode

After reading various threads about what can be adjusted via the ECU on the R36 I was wondering.

Can the DSG shift mode be adjusted as well?
I'm not sure if the R36 is the same as my A3 DSG but in the A3 I find the sport mode virtually useless.
Yes it was great the times I did a track day where selecting it helped me whip my mate in his 6 litre Monaro.
But really I've used it for a reason twice in 3 years.
When I've tried to use it on the street it gave me the $hits.
Slamming down gears coming into roundabouts etc and holding too low a gear when you're cruising.

I like to drive swiftly but still keeping it sane and legal so with a sport programme that was just a little more aggresive but not as maniacal as the current sport programme would be great and of more use.

So basically can the DSG controller unit be adjusted to 1/2Sport?

So would having the APR flash make Drive like a 1/2 Sport? And would it make Sport suicidal?

I have the APR flash in my A3 and it's great but the DSG still wants the get into 6th within 20 metres and sport tries to rip my head off.
As far as I know there is no APR chip for the R36

        Sure. Use the paddles.

I think I've only ever had my R36 in sport mode accidentally. It's in the paddle/manual/ish mode around town and D on the open road!
