Passat accessory questions

What are ppl's opinions on the Load Sill Protection Strip for the Passat Wagon (current model).

Was quoted $121 for the stick on film and $271 for the stick on steel strip from Barloworld (Springvale Road, Melbourne).

Is it worth paying that much to protect the top of the bumper?

The Headlight Protectors were quoted at $99.85.
How strong are the headlights - I imagine they would cost a lot to replace.

As for headlight protectors, I have them on my Bi-Xenon equipped Passat, would hate for thoses lenses to crack...

My MK4 GTI had its headlight cracked from a stone flicking up, but they are glass.
