How Do I Remove Rear Vision Mirror Covers?

Hey Guys/Girls?

Haven't posted much so far due to only receiving my Biscay Blue R36 for a few weeks and now I'm ready to customise.

1) Thinking of changing my mirror covers to maybe brushed aliminium like Audi RS4 mirror covers.

2) Wanting to change the Come Home Function light under the rear mirrors to LED instead of the standard halogen look.

Anyone with successful DIYs???
