  • Passat Aircon Noisy

    Like the heading says I find the aircon on my Passat Wagon with dual climate noisy with like a hissing noise, anyone experienced this?

    Cheers

    The vents are very noisy. Dont get hissing though.

    The aircon itself is not strong enough either, which adds to the problem, as i constantly have to have iton full fan.

      Take it to the dealer if still under warranty, I assume you mean 3C Passat?

      Check the following;

      Fan Blower Motor (noise)
      A/C may require re-gasing (performance)

        Finding just that with the 3C. Degas regas does help as im sure there isnt enough R134A in there from factory. I know of a couple now that were fully leak tested and filled with Dye ( dye comes in most gas now) and no leaks found. After regas to the spec amount the AC is much better.

            Nope all good in mine. Pulls a hot car down to 24C in about three or four minutes on auto.

            cheers
