Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I don't get the logic behind this..if they can accurately tell you the correct speed then why don't they use that for the speedo, even the digital one in the MFD. Its like the friggin nanny state telling us that we need to go slower... I can here the german engineers now saying , "Ve vill tell zem it is faster zun it really iz and it vill make zem slow down" WRONG WRONG WRONG

      Hidden Menus MY10 CC RNS510

Of course it might still be possible but there is a new method of getting it to display that no-one knows (yet).
There is definitely something going on in the CC.

Holding the AC button and pressing the "up vent" causes the lights in the AC and up vent buttons to flash. Doesn't happen with AC in tandem with any other of the AC mode/position buttons.

The AC/up vent combo also "disables" the left and right temperature control knobs and turning them in either direction does nothing.

Asked the workshop guys at my local dealer and they couldn't help (or maybe didn't want to).

Meanwhile I will keep trawling the net till someone more patient or organised than me works out how to do it.
You know you are getting old when you cancel your order for a 3.6 CC and buy an Icelandic Gray TDI CC instead.
