      Sunroofs

All of my experiences with sunroofs have been bad ones. Leaks, rust, broken cables, electrics etc make me recommend that you don't do it.

I'd recommend you sell your current Passat and get a OE Passat with a sunroof

x 3 dont do it.... nothing worse than someone cutting a hole in your roof... i go by the fact that factory ALWAYS fits the best.

And I'll be number 4. Don't fit an aftermarket roof in it, it'll have a big effect on value when you come to sell it.

I'm number 5 from personal experience

I bought my passat with an aftermarket sunroof and i have had problems this year.

For about a week in March i could not open it... Just did not want to work.

Works now but makes a bad noise when opening sometimes and when it feels like it, it will open then close then open again all on it's own. Leave the roof stock.... trust me.

                      Get onto it!

As a Pug sunroof sufferer I can recommend doing something sooner rather than later! Most sliding sunroof problems start with poor lubrication to the sliding surfaces and as they stick they put strain on all other parts of the mechanism.

I agree with you. I wouldn't have another car with a sunroof unless I bought it new.
