"SD card error" message

I am trying to load my cds onto the RNS510 hhd via a SDHC 8gb card. When I insert the card into the head unit it gives me the "SD card error" message

The card is formatted to FAT32

Has anyone come across this problem?

I have the same problem with a 4GB SDHC card.

The original firmware for RNS510 that came from the factory does not support SDHC despite the manual claiming it does. Needs to be updated to 2660 for SDHC support.

Hi Nivek, have you updated yours? I notice a few here have done so and others want to. I know I do, just a little nervous about it...

No, I haven't upgraded mine - purely because I can fit most/all of my songs in the 18GB leftover in the HDD. From what others in the forum have been saying, the upgrade seems like a straight forward process.

I'd be tempted to do it for the voice control feature in the upgraded firmware.
