  • WOOT WOOT WAHOO --- 7am 2morra !!!!!!

    The Toscana arrives at Pt Melb in a few hours after an intolerable wait.

    I was in organising a finance quote today & got to sit in a R36 wagon Sorry to those blue owners but having eyed the arctic grey CC of the dealers owner I am so glad I got that color instead.

    Does anyone find the front seat lip a bit uncomfortable or do u get used to it ?

    The sales guy asked how many points I had on my license as I will need a few

    Less than 10 days till i head for the Black Spur at midnite ---- be warned wombats !!!!!

        I don't have a "lip" on mine. Sorry, that's why I asked. Mine follow the same level from bum to thigh. AWESOME seats. Everyone who's been in the car has commented on how good they are. Is the "lip" something on the MY10s?

          the very front edge feels a bit "sharp" on the under legs is what I meant ---- sorry I did not explain properly

            Ah OK... I reckon you'd notice it more initially because every other seat you'd have had until now has been less adequate. I'm 6 foot 2 inches and the base of the R36 seat goes almost to my knees! I LOVE IT!!!

            And I angle the base back a fair way too (not the back rest).

            Plus the memory settings...

            M1 = cruising
            M2 = spirited
            M3 = sleeping (not while the car is moving)

              True ... thats an initial impression and while stationary.

              I thought I would set the memory as:

              M1 - fun mode
              M2 - Sore Back
              M3 - Missus driving while I sleep

              By the way - anyone sleep in the back of a wagon with the seats down ?

                Missus doesn't want to drive my car... LOL!!! She's scared of my reaction if something goes wrong.

                As for being in the back of a wagon with the seats down - whenever I've been in that situation, it has never involved "sleeping" hahaha!

                  I have. In my old VY wagon I could roll the swag out and sleep happily. The R36 is a little more intimate... but that's usually a good thing
                  R36 =

                    LOL ... that would be fine if it was the missus/mistress

                    Unfortunately both prefer the comfort of a real bed so my car camping involves me & the loyal dog.

                    Was planning on running the new beast in on a drive up the Hume thru Tallarook - Yea - Eildon - Bonnie Doon - Mansfield - Whitfield - back road thru King Valley to Lake Buffalo - Myrty - Milawa - Violet Town - up the hill to Strathbogie - down the hill to Euroa - Hume back to Melb

                    All in all a good run over some neat twistys & some good hills + freeway cruise.

                        Got a call this morning from the dealer. My wagon will be delivered tomorrow afternoon. It came on the same ship as yours 111 if I recall, so hopefully you'll be hearing good things soon too. Shakedown trip planned for tomorrow afternoon, then a longer run down to the Coonawarra and back on the weekend.
                        Yay!
