      Hey Guys,

Just a quick question to ask you all who have baby seats in your R36/ regular passat wagons on which seat you went for and how easy is it to fit & change if need be to another car. I guess general ease of use + possible need for extra seats in the future. I saw one of the other threads which went into 3 seats in the back, which was def helpful.
Was looking at the Safe n Sound Premier birth to 18kg, but thinking maybe the compact or the Meridian AHR. Got to order one this week with a whole lotta other stuff from Baby Bunting to get a half decent price on a Bugaboo Cameleon my wife is so fixed on! plus the cot, bassinet, change table etc etc etc etc etc....
      Thanks in advance.

      Cheers,
      Jayse.

Can definately recommend the Safe n sound Meridian AHR

We have 2 - one in each car and they are brilliant. Easy to fit yourself (just get the gator clip for the seatbelt from baby bunting) and easy to use everyday - and bubs seems pretty comfortable in it too - recently did a trip to Lorne and the boy was in it for 2.5 hours no issue (he was 5 months at the time)

        Bugaboo's are for posers.

+1 on the meridian AHR....when in rear facing mode, there is not much space left in the front passenger seat when you observe the required clearance between the front seat and the child seat...it is fine once they can face forward...

pretty straight forward to install and remove...

buggaboo may be for posers but it is incredibly light and really very manoeuvrable....not exactly small when in the bassinet mode...it does fit in teh wagon though!

          good luck

            Thanks guys,
Much appreciated on the info and feedback of your experience.

Pana and Gead, i'm gonna have to agree with you both though on the bugaboo, exxy poser option for a pram, but compared to some of the others, mountain buggy, phil & teds, Mclaren, it's weighs a lot less and will be much easier for the missus to use and put into the car.

I reckon it's a toss up with the Safe and Sound Meridian AHR or the Compact (for future addidtions to the family.) The Meridian might not help trying to fit more than 2 seats + booster etc...hehe, listen to me, let's see how the first one goes and the Minister for War & Finance & Population will surely advise me on future numbers.

            Cheers,
            Jayse.

what is that meant to be? (sorry manual is in the car) - I've usually got about 1cm between back of the seat and the baby seat (still in rear facing mode) and space in the front passenger seat is ok for me (6ft) and plenty for my wife (5ft 3")

can't wait till we can have him facing forward though because with the Meridian AHR you can't see their face and therefore if they are asleep/awake/sticking everything they can get their hands on in their mouth.....

just checked the manual, doesn't stipulate a distance, but does say not to allow the seat to touch the child seat.... i leave about an inch between the two, and there is no issue for SWMBO, but other passengers do find it squeezy

hmm - better move the seat forward then.

I know what you mean with the front seat - although I won't complain about the passat because in my old WRX when I put the seat in, the front passenger was literally kissing the dash!
