Problem RCD 500 in Passat,Battery flat HELP

Hi there
hope somebody will help
Afther instaling 2 months old RCD 510 in my wifes passat 2007( suplied with pin code) afther 2 days battery went flat.replace with second hand battery thinking battery gone,and again afther few days again same story, cant crank att all.
got another battery from working car, 4 days afther same story...again
Next day bought BRAND NEW (good one) baterry and second day battery flat.again ...FFF....so it i think must be 100% RCD problem or do I need to go to the dealer or... dont have clue....
Did I need to code somethin or...

I think there are some issues with using the newer radios on cars with older CAN BUS controllers. You may need to upgrade that... THere are a lot of posts around (not just in here) about these issues, but I am not knowledgeable enough on the subject to be able to definitively state that is the issue...

Yes it could be problem somewhere there...
I do have curent vag com but dont know what i need to do( or do i need ) do i need some coding to be done in can bus or in the radio...

Using your VAGCOM find out the part number of your CANBUS controller (Controller 19 I think)...
