*HELP*... Does anyone know of a new R36 biscay blue wagon available?

I had a call from the dealer last night telling me that my white R36 wagon would be available for delivery next week, but the RVC wasn't on the car. How surprised was he when I told him I ordered a blue one. It doesn't help that the sales person I bought the car off no longer works there, poor bugger is now being blamed for something I'm sure he didn't cause as he was very diligent.

Anyway... today the dealer told me that no alternative blue wagons are available until early next year.... so I thought this forum might be a good place to see if anyone knows of a blue R36 wagon either at a dealer or on order that might be available (ie cancelled order....) or anyone that has ordered a blue wagon and changed his/her mind on the colour?

The specs I ordered;
Sunroof, Auto tailgate, RVC, MDI
Dealer fitted towbar

I am willing to consider additional options and wait a bit longer for a blue one.

Now this white wagon is still allocated to my order, but I am willing to assist somebody if they are keen on this car. It would have to be after my issue has been resolved though, but that should be by the end of this week.

Bugger about the order stuff-up!!

I took my car in for it's 15,000km service on Friday @ Sth Yarra and i saw a blue wagon with no number plates on the back at least. Not sure if it's for sale or what...was in the back area of the dealership. Might be worth giving them a call. Though, you'd want to make sure it's at least a MY09 Upgrade or later model.

Hope they(your dealer) can sort something out for you....FWIW...Candy White Rocks!

Biscay Blue Wagon on the floor at Berwin VW. Saw it there this morning...

No idea on the options though

Possibly explains why the sales person no longer works there... either has trouble with colour codes or inventory software!

Probably they thought you wouldn't wait till next year and accept a white one instead. That sales-rep was probably thinking quota rather than customer...

Can't help with a Blue but I did see a Black wagon on a tralier heading to Sth Yarra, Abbotsford service center for dealer delivery.

If they had given you "your" VIN before it arrived you could check whether they were doing the old "switcheroo" (selling your car to someone else who was willing to pay more or had more clout with the dealer than you). If that was the case (unlikely but possible), you could make things a bit embarrassing for them by talking with VWA.

In most cases like this, simple incompetence is much more likely than deliberate foul play. Very disappointing for you, after waiting for your new car.

Mine was a black cancelled order from South Yarra (probably the one on the trailer heading there) and my mate canceled the order for a blue one exactly the same as mine and that one is due about now.

Unfortunately both have no camera hence the canceled orders!

It sounds like you (and your friend) originally requested reversing camera on your orders, but they stuffed up multiple times?

Don't they have an order tracking system with part numbers that match color-codes and options, or are they doing things manually?

The dealer rang me today, they found one interstate that is now being shipped to VIC. No RVC still, but they indicated that VW is considering bringing out a retro-fit camera kit. Not sure if this is true or small talk, but after pushing them they agreed to put it in writing to fit one FOC (as well as refunding the option cost now) if they do come out. So I might be driving my new car soon afterall . Need it for work and cannot afford to cancel/re-order and wait another 4-5 Months. I did get the VIN early on and don't think they deliberately sold my car as it is costing them more now to have the car shipped interstate etc.

My car was part of the first batch of R36's delivered to Australia back in June last year and was supposed to come with a reversing camera but didn't because of a Volkswagen Australia screw up. I was told that a retrofit was looked at but was scrapped because it wasn't viable. I don't need the camera but it would be pretty cool to have the car as I originally wanted it.

I'll be interested to hear how your story unfolds. If there's a retrofit I know I'd be interested in hearing about it and I dare say a few other people here who had the same thing happen to them would be interested too.
