Hub Dyno will always read higher - dunno if it would be as much as 40kW higher though...
It's not quite as simple as saying a hub dyno will always read more. There are pros and cons to both, but at the end of the day a properly calibrated hub dyno is also telling you KW at the wheels - the size of which is one of the parameters entered.
The reason I got mine done was for a benchmark and base line, not to compare with roller dynos though - and because going back later it is far more likely that they can reproduce the same result with less variables.
Hey Guys. Went back today and pulled a 13.38s 1/4 mile - so the remap has clearly sped things up a bit.
Not a fair test though, I think there was a little more improvement to be had. My pre-remap 13.66 was done on Shell V-Power 99RON fuel - but this time it wasn't as there wasn't any available locally.
That and I have 12'500 miles of crap in the air-filter which isn't going to help things either!
Still, pretty happy
No lack of grip either. I suspect I could run with slightly higher than stock pressures to lower the rolling resistance without impacting on off-the-line grip.

Still 13.38 is nothing to sneeze at for a nearly stock car!
I intend to go back soon with a Pipercross Panel filter and V-Power 99 in the tank. Maybe 2-3 psi more in the tyres too, as there where no traction issues. Also tempting is a DSG remap to up the launch control rpm once its available without posting the controller to HGP in Germany.
You never know, with a tail wind I might get a 12.99 one day - but I doubt it..!!
