  • R36 1 - Wombat 0

Hit an adult wombat last night at about 125 with both the drivers side wheels, felt like I hit a large pot hole as the car jumped over it although the landing was suprisingly soft. After turning around to make sure I killed it, I was expecting the worst damage wise.

Apart from a bit of blood and guts around the wheels there isn't a single bit of damage on the car. It still tracks perfectly and there are no wheel balance issues. I'm truly suprised, as I've seen wombats rip wheels off cars before. Had I hit the wombat with the middle of the car, I think I'd be posting some pictures of a damaged R36 but thankfully not

It's amazing that the car still tracks perfectly, i would have thought it wouod have done some damage to teh alignment/axle with a abump like that.

I'd say it was more pure luck you didnt damage the car - or the wombat was already dead and fairly squished.

Either way, I'd be thanking my lucky stars if I were you!!!

I want to believe that he meant it in a good way - better dead than suffering from fatal injuries.
How ever IMO, and many people would agree that it is wrong to have too much discussion about it.
