  • Fiscon bluetooth question

I have just had the Fiscon/Kufatec bluetooth installed in my car and all works brilliantly. The only thing I want to know is how to delete/alter one of the 6 memory speed dial numbers off the main screen. I put in a contact into one of the 6 speed dial numbers and I need to alter it, but there does not seem to be any way of altering it. Does anyone know?

      OK...

Instead of a quick push and let go to dial, push and hold the speed dial button. after a few seconds release, and it will go to an edit screen on which you can delete or edit it.

there's one I haven't done, the other way is to push the setup button, and select phone, in there is a preset numbers setting.

          Hi Swallowtail,

Who installed yours in Brisbane and were you happy with it? My work has agreed to buy and install the unit.

          Cheers

I bought it from Kufatec in Germany directly and then I installed it myself... Took about an hour. Pretty sure Northfield at Moorooka (who did my stereo upgrade yesterday) would be able to do it though.

You have to remove the two little drawers above the stereo, remove the faceplate around the stereo, undo the torx screws that hold the stereo in place and pull it out. Feed the BT unit down the back, wire it up (really easy) and run the mike to where you want it. I have mine on top of the steering column, works really well there.

Finally a VAGCOM code change and it's all done.

Ok, I worked it out. I have the standard stereo and so it is just a matter of pushing the "Set Up" button to the right of the stereo's screen. It then asks which device do you want to edit, ie the "radio", "media", "phone", Traffic information" etc. Just press the "phone" and then you can choose to edit the speed dial numbers.

              How good is that.

After I posted this, I then saw that Caddyman has posted the "fix" previously.

Would Northfield supply the Fiscon too?

I'm wondering whether to order the unit from Kufatec or oemplus?

Couldn't install it myself even though I have done such things on my Accord Euro - just not that way inclined anymore unfortunately. Leave it to someone who knows what they're doing.

Not sure - ask them and see... Andrew was the guy there I dealt with. Check out how much to get one in from Kufatec and compare. THey'll install it even if you get it.

Anyone got a quick link to the site in Europe to buy these from and possibly a part number?

Might as well order one now ready for the arrival of the vehicle so it ready to put straight in

Only problem with the BasicPlus system seems that it works better with the red display MFD. It gives extra functions.

Maybe is worth waiting for the white version to come out.

Works fine with the white version. Only difference is that the red version provides some extra info on some engines, i.e. boost, temp, etc. There are no plans for the Fiscon to provide that information for white MFD-equipped cars according to Kufatec.

Site is www.kufatec.de. You are looking for the BasicPlus Fiscon system.

That's from the USA site. $569 US = roughly AU$740 + postage. And that one you've linked to ONLY shows the red MFD - they may have old stock of them. Needs to have system firmware 1.62 or later to work with white MFD.

The German site is Euro399 minus tax + postage, works out about late AU$700s delivered. This one works with red OR white MFD Passats. EDIT - it's about $760 delivered atm.

Re digital speed readout - the standard white MFD can do that anyway.

thanks for the link. The way I read it was that it would work with white or red but only give extra info on the red.

With a probable MY10 build and sometimes unforseen changes Ill probably hold off on this till I have the car.
